The Sunburst Share Your Shutters Winner for Fall 2017

Gary Harding

Congratulations to the latest Share Your Shutters winner: Chelsey Rushworth! Her winning submission to #ShareYourShutters shows two rooms decorated with gorgeous new Polywood interior plantation shutters that beautifully complement both her ornate window frames and modern decor.

Neutral Living Area With Shutters

Chelsey, who some may recognize on Instagram as Taste of Coffey, is a Boston-based home designer who definitely has a penchant for stylish color schemes. Just one look at her space shows how she intersperses both neutral and brighter tones for a look that’s welcoming and comfortable, but extremely stylish at the same time.

Chelsey even has some advice for homeowners in Denver and around the country:

  • Have a color scheme in mind. When you design a room, you’re always able to adjust colors to accessorize it. Make sure to utilize hues from either your home’s color pallet or ones that can accentuate it.

  • Be fluid in your color usage. We picked white shutters and most of our furniture includes shades of gray, either fabric or weathered wood. So we chose to mix in splashes of white and color accents.

Not only does Chelsey pick some fantastic color combos, but the use of space in her home is just as good. From the chairs she uses that lead the eyes right up to the wall and her classic shutters, to her choice of shelving under the casement window, Chelsey’s house is fashionable, functional, and extremely livable without ever coming close to feeling cluttered.

As our #ShareYourShutters winner for Fall, Chelsey will receive a gift card to a great restaurant in Boston, in addition to featuring her designs here. To see more of her work, visit her personal site at

And if you think the shutters in your home look awesome enough to be a winner, share them on Facebook or Instagram with the hashtag #ShareYourShutters. We want to see another Denver home featured as a winner!
